September 1, 2013 House Concert

Tami Mulcahy with a Musical Update

Soooo many have asked, “What is it you do…I didn’t know you did music.”  Quietly, but yes, I've been writing songs since I was 15 and playing guitar and singing since I was 8.  I have three cd’s.   I have recorded with Grammy producers, opened at the Mountain Winery and taught songwriting to hundreds of kids.  I am a past board president of  West Coast Songwriters.  And now I'm having fun back in the performance world. You can hear my music atwww.TamiMulcahy.com.  And here's what's happening!

Michael McNevin and I added a House Concert for Sunday, September 1st, at 7:00pm in my back yard. Yes, just a week and a half away and… Yes, a Sunday. But Monday is a holiday. We hope you can join us for part of your holiday weekend.  Our bios are below.

House concerts are a treat. They have become the bread and butter for touring artists. I personally do not tour, but love being a host. They are small gatherings, 20-30 people, in the comfort of a home. Cost is sliding scale - suggested $10-20/person.

Bring a sweater, might be cool. Chairs provided. Bring whatever drink you want to consume. Last time some people brought snacks to share.  Super nice, but not required.

RSVP to  Tami@TamiMulcahy.com  Invite friends to come along!!!!

Mining for Songs - Monica Pasqual of Blame Sally will be doing a songwriting/creativity course at my home starting Sept 18th, Wednesday nights for six weks. Yes, I am uber excited.

With numerous Emmy awards to her credit, she is also a 5 time Independent Music Award winner…do you think her fans love her.  So if you have ever had an inclination to write or just tap into your creative mind, here ya go.  Contact me or Monica directly and for more info: http://monicapasqual.com/fr_home.cfm.

And finally, I am proud to be on the roster for the Bread and Roses Foundation…bringing free music performances to those who are generally isolated from society.  They organize over 600 a year...wow...a lot of human musical goodness. I will be doing my third concert for B&R coming up in September.   www.BreadandRoses.org

Cheers and hope to see you at the House Concert,

Tami

www.TamiMulcahy.com  Fans describe her voice as “simply beautiful”. It draws you in and the words take over. From the playful Water Me Down to the moving war tribute Lucky Forward, her new CD is story telling at it’s best. Recorded in part with Grammy winning producer Enrique Gonzalez Muller, careful attention was given to organic flavorings in the vein of David Gray and Shawn Colvin. Tami is back on the performance trail sharing her music. From house concerts to the Mountain Winery, her performance style has been called “personal and authentic”. "In a world of weary songs, I love that you write such hopeful lyrics" - Suzanne Mina Koga, manager for Roberta Flack. "Superb, Lovely! Moving, evocative. Beautiful voice. Great sounding guitar - Miles Hurwitz - Bay Area Producer and Manager
